Lilas G. Velardo, 73, of Medina passed away with grace & peace on Saturday Dec. 25th, 2021. She was born August 16, 1948 to parents, Hansen E Green and Frances T (nee Traxler) Green.
Lilas was a graduate of Brecksville H.S. and Bowling Green University, where she earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education. She married Richard Velardo in 1970 and, as a dedicated and beloved teacher, taught for 30 years in the Buckeye Local School District.
Lilas is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Melissa; and grandsons, Zachary and Jacob. A memorial gathering will be Feb. 25 at the Corkscrew Saloon in Medina. Please RSVP to; rvelardo@zoominternet.net
