Susan A. Nilsen

Susan A. Nilsen (nee Dahlen) passed peacefully on June 29, 2026 following a courageous battle against Breast Cancer. Sue was born on March 27, 1966 at Lackawanna, NY. She was the daughter of Dave & Jackie Dahlen (both deceased). Sue is survived by her loving husband Bob, brother John Dahlen, was “Aunt Shoes” to her cherished nice Sarah Truffin and nephew Tyler Truffin. Doggie Mommy to “the best dog ever”, Sassy.

Sue attended Bowling Green State University and later graduated from Kent State University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Sue was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002, Sue was a volunteer at the National MS Society to assist with various fund raising walks and bicycle events each year. She received the 2017 Isroff Volunteer Award for her dedication to the Society.

Love and appreciation is extended to the caring staff at the Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina, Ohio where Sue spent her final days.

A service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Sue may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), PO Box 88540, Carol Stream, IL 60188 or to The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation, 2655 West National Road, Springfield, OH 45504.
