Crystal L. Sonnabend

Crystal Sonnabend, 39, who liked to be called Crissy, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2023.

Crissy was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 31st, 1983, to Pamela Oelbracht (Daniel P. Oelbracht) and Patrick Kubeja Sr. (Denise Kubeja).

Crissy was a sister to Daniel J. Oelbracht (Jennifer), Patrick Kubeja Jr. (Janet Klaas), Kelly Oelbracht (Thomas Klingshirn) and her four pawed fur brother, Buddy; mother to Trevor Sonnabend, Cassandra Sonnabend, Alexis Sonnabend, Kendall Slepko, and Kyle Slepko; granddaughter of Linda  Gilbert and Jimmy Gilbert (deceased); niece of Teresa Daly and Pat Daly; loving Aunt to Lula, Jameson, Kolt, and James;  as well as a grandparent to her grand dogs, Kirby, and Bonnie Sonnabend.

Crissy loved to fish, go on outdoor walks, and spend time with her friends and family.

When it comes to creativity, Crissy had it down to a T, including baking and cake decorating. She enjoyed styling hair, and getting her nails done, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her children. Photography and capturing memories that would last a lifetime was very important to her.

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three: but the greatest of these is love”

1 Corinthians 13:13

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made in Crissy’s name to “The National Institute of Drug Abuse” to help those who struggle with addiction

Crissy’s family will accept friends and extended family at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Rd. Brunswick,  on Friday, March 3 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for everyone to say their last goodbye.
