Nancy A. Sellers

Nancy A. Sellers (nee Page), loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Nancy was preceded by her beloved parents, Richard and Janice Page, and is survived by her husband of 54 years, Martin W. Sellers; children Christy (Jason Harston), Richard (Lisa Miller); grandchildren Page (Matthew Haskell), Rachel (Jason Geminert), and Alexander; brother Roger Page (Karen).

Nancy grew up in Rocky River and earned a Bachelor of Education from Kent State University, where she met and married her beloved husband.  When Martin began active-duty service in the U.S. Army they were stationed together in Bremerhaven, Germany where they took advantage of many opportunities to travel throughout Europe.  Nancy was a faithful and supportive wife to Martin when he served an overseas tour of duty in Vietnam, and so grateful when they were finally reunited.

She was a passionate educator and beloved by her many sixth-grade students at St. Anthony of Padua School; her particular interest in Roman, Greek, and Egyptian history was evident in her memorable lessons, and creative projects.  An avid and skilled bridge player, Nancy was a sought-after partner and loved hosting her bridge group.  She was known for her bright wit, beautiful smile, joyful laugh, and her legendary baking skills; her friends and family were grateful recipients of her famous cheesecake and brownies.  As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over four decades, she served as a dedicated Sunday School and Primary teacher for many of those years.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 25000 Westwood Rd, Westlake, on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., with refreshments to follow.  Livestream of the memorial service will be available via Zoom.
