Robert "Bob" J Kanya

Robert J. Kanya, age 82, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Married to the love of his life, Janet Thomas-Kanya, for 58 years; Bob is survived by his loving wife; sister, Ruth Kanya; and five children: Robert P. Kanya, Kimberly Vlk (Kanya), Leslie VanKuren, Corinne Mirch (VanKuren) and Mark VanKuren. Grandfather to seven wonderful grandchildren and great-grandfather to five amazing great-grandchildren.

Proudly retired from his career-long tenure at the Ford Motor Company as a Pipe Fitter.

His joys in life included camping frequently, playing cards with family and friends, and line dancing with his wife and friends at the Thirsty Cowboy.

The family will receive friends for the celebration of his life at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4470 Ridge Road, Brooklyn, Ohio on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.
