Paul E. Glatzhofer, 90, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026. Paul was a glazier and foreman at Sterling Plate Glass, and an Army veteran who enjoyed harness racing and basketball. Paul met his beloved wife, Yvonne, in 7th grade. Several years later they married and were married for 64 years. Paul dreamed of owning a farm and purchased one in the 1960’s. He owned and raced many standardbred horses. Together, he and Yvonne raised five children in Brunswick, Ohio.
Paul was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Yvonne; and is survived by his children, Paul III (Anne), Yvette (Bill) Izzi, Janette (Guy) Pompignano, Greg (Doreen) and Colette (Kevin) Leiter; grandchildren, Katherine Zucca, Paul IV (Jamie), Gregory (Kristen), Amanda (Mitch) Guccion, Nicholas (Alexandra) and Grant (Kaleigh); and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (Eleanor) Glatzhofer. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna (Jack) Wendell, and his parents, Paul and Dorothy Glatzhofer.
There will be a visitation at Diamond Event Center, 1480 Pearl Road, Brunswick on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetary.
