Listen to Obituary

Lawrence L. Losh, 72, of Medina, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Paul and Florence Losh and served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam era.

Larry was a devoted sports fan who followed all Cleveland teams—including the Browns, Guardians, Cavaliers, and Monsters—but his greatest passion was racing. He loved spending time at racetracks throughout Ohio, and after major races he would often take his souped-up Challenger onto the track himself. He was known as a skilled and fearless driver with a true love for speed and competition.

Florida held a special place in Larry’s heart, especially Daytona Beach. He dreamed of one day moving there and enjoyed driving the beaches and coastline along Florida’s Atlantic shore.

Larry was also widely recognized for his talent in auto body work and painting. Gifted, meticulous, and highly articulate in his craft, he had an eye for transformation—turning worn or forgotten things into something beautiful. Painting cars was more than a skill; it was an art form he deeply enjoyed.

In addition to his many passions, Larry had a deep love for music and took pride in his collection of albums, enjoying the timeless experience of listening to and preserving music he loved.

Larry had a passion for numismatics and enjoyed collecting coins and learning about money and its history. He also took great interest in collecting Revolutionary War–era artifacts and replicas— including historical documents and currency—as well as firearms, enjoyed making his own ammunition, maintained a collection of two black powder smoothbore rifles modeled after those of the Revolutionary War, and spent time woodworking, assembling intricate wooden model kits into detailed wall art and figurines.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Nicolette and Alexandra Losh; son, Jeremy Losh; granddaughter, Destiny Harrell; brother, Paul Losh Jr.; sisters, Nancy Davies and Irene Cook; and Mary Webb (mother of Nicolette). He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Florence Losh, as well as his longtime partner, Lynn Buttolph.
