Lance D Langan

Lance D. Langan, 62 years old, of Medina, Ohio died on April 21, 2025.

He was born in Berea, Ohio to Olivia and James Langan, who instilled hard work and a joy for learning in him from a young age. Growing up alongside his three siblings, he often spoke fondly of their adventures as kids.

Lance met his wife Lorrie when they were young adults in the early 80s. They bonded over their mutual taste in rock music, attending many live concerts together and amassing impressive record and memorabilia collections.

His children, Alex, Adrienne, and Jenna grew up with, undoubtedly, the quirkiest Dad. Capturing their childhoods, he was always the one behind the camera—telling jokes, giving direction and showcasing his care and love for them. His love of the artist MC Escher and his taste in music provided the backdrop and soundtrack to their childhoods.

Lance also had a deep love for his many adopted pets over the years. He is survived by two of his sweet pals—Joey the pitbull and Bertram the orange kitty.

He was known to lend a helping hand. When a car needed a tune up, furniture needed built or something heavy needed moving, he would be there to assist.

Lance loved to talk and tell stories to anyone who would listen. He was a collector with many special interests, ready to share his most recent favorite album, tv show or tell you the intricate details of his latest project. His happy place in the world was the Green Mountains of Vermont, where he spent many weekends and vacations foraging, building and communing with nature.

Lance was preceded in death by his father James and brother Brock. He is survived by his wife Lorrie (Roeper), mother Olivia, brother Jim, sister Leah and children Alex, Adrienne (Dakota McCoy), and Jenna Alfieri (John).

A celebration of life will be held privately by his family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local animal rescue or shelter.
