John W Potts

John W. Potts, 88 of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  He was a very proud US Marine for life. Semper Fi! John had a big heart and loved doing anything for anybody. He was a great person with a great sense of humor. John loved his family and was a wonderful husband, and a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle, along with loving his cat Crissy. Also, John just loved to swear – an interesting dichotomy to his loving nature.

John is survived by his loving wife of almost 35 years, Carol (nee Calta); children, Linda Potts, Debbie Christy (Clifford), and Cary Vonderau (Rebecca); grandchildren, Bailey Gormley, Brittany Christy, Rhiannon Kirby, Samantha Vonderau, and Karsen Christy; great grandchildren, Weston Case and Grayson McCurdy; and several loving nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

There will be a private family service and inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
