John Benisch

After a fierce seven-month battle, John Benisch passed away on July 28, 2026, from a cerebral aneurysm.

He is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 42 years, Shelly; his cherished little sister, Liliana Benisch; and mother in law, Carolyn Swaggerty, who loved him as a second son.

John was an avid golfer and worldwide traveler known for his contagious smile and engaging personality.

He was forever designing and building something amazing or fixing what others couldn't — always the first to roll up his sleeves to lend a helping hand.

Those who had the privilege of knowing John loved him dearly, and he leaves behind a dozen close buddies who share in our heartbreaking loss.

In keeping with his warm and spirited nature, he asked that in lieu of a funeral and flowers, those who loved him raise a glass and celebrate the many wonderful memories they shared together.
