Gary Wayne Douglass

Gary Wayne Douglass, 73 of Valley City, passed away on August 15, 2023, just two days prior to his 74^th birthday. He was a carpenter most of his life, first building houses and then making industrial reinforced concrete. He loved to collect and fix guns and was also a Mr. Fix-it in the garage, always fixing something. Gary served as an engineer for 14 months in Vietnam.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Judy; children, Jeremy Douglass (Crystal), Jenny Douglass, and Christina Douglass-Gallagher (Matt); grandchildren, Sierra Clark, Jaron Douglass, Logan Clark, Chase Gallagher, Madison Gallagher, and Emma Rose Gallagher; great granddaughter, Naomi Clark; and sister, Janette Jakobics (Mike).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hazel Douglass; and brother, Cecil Douglass (Bobbi Jo Douglass, surviving).

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 6:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 6936 Center Rd., Valley City.
