David Scott

July 28, 1987 — July 22, 2025

Medina

David Darnell Scott II, age 37, of Medina, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Born on July 28, 1987, in Cleveland, Ohio, David was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose magnetic spirit and joyful heart touched everyone who knew him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Samantha "Sammy" Scott, and their cherished daughter, Aubrey Faith Scott. He is also survived by his devoted parents, David D. Scott and Mollie D. Paschal; brothers Tony (Taylor) Scott, Justin Scott, and Joshua Scott; sisters LaToria (Eric) Gordon, Twila (Miguel) Feliciano, Davida Scott, Bridgette Scott, and Miranda Bennett; and four adored nephews: Jordan Scott-Gordon, Aurelius Feliciano, Adonis Crutcher, and James Scott.

David graduated from Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights and went on to work as a Tool & Die Coating Technician at Oerlikon Balzers Coating, where he was known for his work ethic and strong friendships with his coworkers. A heartfelt thank you goes out to his boss, Herb; coworkers, Matt and Big John; and the entire team who supported him.

A proud member of the Northeast Ohio MOPAR Club, David loved all things cars and motorsports. He was baptized alongside his daughter Aubrey on October 25, 2014, at Hosanna Lutheran Church — a moment that symbolized his deep love for family and faith.

David was the world’s greatest husband and father — a title he wore proudly. His family was the center of his life, and his larger-than-life personality brought laughter and warmth into every room. He was a movie buff, a sports fanatic, a cartoon lover, and a passionate fan of both basketball and football.

Known as the “Grill Master,” David found joy in cooking for his loved ones, especially during family gatherings. He also enjoyed peaceful nights spent stargazing, studying astrology, and watching the moon — always with his favorite drink, Crown Royal, in hand.

A private celebration of life with close friends and family will be held at a later date.

Though his time with us was far too short, David’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will forever be remembered for his heart, his humor, and the love he gave so freely.
