Christopher Michael Harris was born at St. John’s Hospital in Cleveland on November 8th, 1978. He attended Lakewood High School, and after graduation he went on to earn multiple associates degrees and trade certifications, including HVAC, from different universities. He was a lifetime learner who would go on to achieve many professional certifications and awards in his preferred field, Loss Prevention and Asset Protection.
Chris had an interesting career path, his early years were spent as an amateur wrestler in the early days of the WWE, as a character named ‘The Butcher’. Chris travelled the country entertaining adults and kids alike, once performing to a crowd of 10,000 people. When family life called him back from the road, he settled into his path of Loss Prevention, where he excelled and proved to have an innate talent for the job. Chris advanced quickly through various levels of the field and ended his career as a corporate investigator in Michigan. He was extraordinary at what he did, and his coworkers and superiors were proud to work with him.
Chris was a kind and generous man who loved the natural world in all its forms. He was a hunter and a fisherman, loved hiking and adventure, but was equally content to sit on the porch reading a good book and listen to the birds sing for hours at a time. His favorite place on Earth was Hocking HIlls, but any National Park was a treasure to him. He never met a stray he didn’t love, and would frequently feel so bad for the wilted succulents on the clearance rack at Home Depot that he would bring them home and try to nurse them back to health. If you needed a loan, he gave you his last dollar. If you were hungry, he gave you his lunch. If you were chilly, he gave you the shirt off his back. He loved music, despite refusing to believe any new music had been produced after 2015. He was a foodie and an adventurous eater. He was, for better or worse, a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.
Chris was diagnosed with cancer in July of 2023, and passed away June 2, 2026.
Chris is survived by his mother, Gayle; dad, George; sisters, Patty and Sammie; children, Nick and Sierra; nieces, Kayla and Mya; nephews, James and Michael; great niece, Lilianna; and great nephews, Isaac, Bryson, and Hayden. His fiancee, Jess, misses him more than she can say.
