Charles Edward Freehoffer Jr

Charles E. “Sonny” Freehoffer, Jr., 64 of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He was a retired Master Brick Layer originally with Local 5 after 42 years. Sonny was an active member of the Brunswick Eagles 3505 helping out with the Christmas Baskets programs and fundraisers. He enjoyed playing cornhole and especially loved spending time with his family and lived by his motto “You take care of family”. Sonny was a loving family man who will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Farmer; children, Kayla Ward and Charles Freehoffer III; 10 grandchildren; and siblings. Linda Chen (Mike), John Freehoffer (Jackie), Jackie Bohrer (Julius), Debbie McCune (Bill), and Margaret Burton (Dave). He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles, Sr. and Nancy Freehoffer, and his brother, Robert Freehoffer.

There will be a celebration of Sonny’s life on Sunday, August 9 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the Brunswick Eagles Hall, 349 Pearl Rd., Brunswick.
