Bonnie met her husband, Tom, at Indiana University, where they were married.  Later, they moved to Ohio, eventually settling in an old farmhouse in Medina. Bonnie continued her teaching career until she gave birth to two daughters, Katie and Mary Beth. After the birth of her two daughters, she started a 40+ year career in real estate.

Bonnie will be missed by her husband of 49 years, Thomas, and two daughters, Katie (Gunnar) Birtel and Mary Beth; sister, Maureen (Bill) Esser; granddaughters, Maura and Bellamy; and step-grandchildren, Nixie and Avi.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Miller; her brother, Mark Miller; and her husband’s siblings – Patsy Susnick and Dennis and Anthony Mahoney.

Per Bonnie’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a private memorial service at a later date.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Summa Oncology team for their fantastic support and outstanding treatment these past 5 years, and to also acknowledge the excellent treatment by the Cleveland Clinic’s Gamma Ray team this past year. In June Bonnie entered Medina’s Hospice Program. Their team worked tirelessly in helping Bonnie transition. Their work and support have been outstanding. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all for your love, support, and friendship during Bonnie’s journey these past 5 years.
