Benito Iannaggi

Benito L. Iannaggi, 84, of Montville Twp. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born in Italy, and his family moved to the United States when he was 16 years old. He was a machinist who retired from Chrysler at the end of 2000. Benito was incredibly handy and could repair anything. He loved tinkering in his workshop where he had a machine for virtually any task. Simply put, he was great with his hands. Benito, above all else, was a loving, terrific husband who had a pure heart and a crazy sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed.

Benito is survived by his loving wife, Colleen (nee Gardner); children, Frank (Marlene), Carmella Vella (Leonard, deceased), and Lillian Horn; grandchildren, Lenny (Brianna) Vella and Chelsey Vella; a great grandson, Dominic; and a sister-in-law, Elga Iannaggi.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Carmina (nee Poliafico) Iannaggi; his first wife, Grace (nee Mendolera); son, Peter; and siblings, Natale (Lucia), Alba Cirino (Andrea), Gaetano (Corine), Maria Cristofaro (Vittorio), and Biagio.

A celebration of Benito’s life will be held at a later date.
